Today I finally reached my goal for October and reached the mark of 5k profit.
I had a small downswing last days. It wasn’t as bad as it looked like, cuz of the 4man split-variance, but still little more than 1k losses in two days. Today I ran pretty nice and finally found back to my A-Game so I could get the best out of it and just reached a nice $5,140 profit for October (including rakeback).
Beside playing a lot of games I got in contact with other well known HU high stakes regulars. I teamed up with very solid players at 115 and 230 4mans to get almost two times the ROI I could earn with standard 2man HUs.
Recently I played against an unexperienced passive fish who just threw all of his chips away after has been called in this hand:

It’s one of those pretty standard hands you can almost be 100% sure you are up against A8 or a missed draw/air. JTh is another possible hand the villain could play this way. But beside these very few hands the betting line doesn’t make any sense. If you come to the conclusion there are only two or three hands possible the opponent could held it’s kind of very easy call, especially considering his preflop action (even for a very passive player it’s very unlikely he would just limp hands like A8 or JTh). Plus: if you make the right call you not just win the pot, you’ve almost won the whole match as well. Depending on your opponent you should never forget tilt implieds if you are faced with a decision like that.
On Monday I applied for the actual “PokerStars Online Team Pro” competition.
PokerStars sent mails with application-links to every Supernova so they can apply for becoming a member of “PokerStars Team Pro”. As they wrote at 2plus2 they are searching for 25 online players from different game types and buyin levels. The benefit of being a Team Pro-member are pretty nice including very nice 100k extra rakeback bonuses per year. There are only about 5,000 Supernova accounts at the moment, so I just tried it and wrote a very nice letter of motivation.
Thank you Melanie for your help and advices! Really hope they gonna approve your application! GL

isnt it illegal to team up in 4man sngs?
No, because there is no disadvantage for the oppenents. You have to beat two oppenents either way.
