Talking about juicy games?!

5 10 2009

Yesterday evening I had another very funny livesession with my favorite maniacs. A friend of mine does know the guys and invited me 2 weeks ago to join the session. I guess it’s the most funny and loosest poker play I’ve seen the last 1.5 years. Prelfop raises to 6-10x BB are pretty standard. Blinds are only 0.05/0.1€, so I obviously don’t play there for profite. I just enjoy crushing the game. A profit of 627 BBs like last night isn’t that bad though ;)

Here is the most funny hand I played last night:

Early position raiser to 0.70 €, one MP caller, me in the CO with 96o.
I’m about 400 BBs deep and insta call, cuz almost any two cards which could make a hand are worth it with such beautiful implied odds.
Button calls, SB folds and BB calls.

Site notes: BB is about 300 BBs deep and just lost a nice pot vs my lucky 72o 2pair catch (initially I just played the hand agressive to show one of my very few bluffs to get more payout in the future).

Flop comes: Q87 rainbow. The BB bets 2€ into the 3,5€ pot which could be any 2cards somehow connected with the flop. After the first maniac bets the 2€ the initial raiser calls, maybe with only A-high, maybe less… I call to see the very beautiful rainbow Ten on the turn.
The BB bets out 4€ again, initial raiser folds and I don’t hestitate to raise to 10€. BB almost insta calls to see another Ten on the river. BB checks and I just shove allin being 100% sure my oppenent doesn’t have me beat.
After the BB thought about 2 mins I finally got a call. By Q9o…

“Sorry. I really got lucky to catch that Ten on the turn.” It’s all about luck in poker. We all do know that ;)

September Review: +6.1k

2 10 2009

After I finished my exams in August there was a lot of time in September for a TON of games. I 3-4 tabled most of the time, started with 115s and mixed it up with 230s as well. After a very nice start at the beginning of the month I played more and more bingo-games and finally decided to take a step back to 115s.

Including Rakeback I made a very nice $6,1k profit in September and collected 35k VPPs to a total of 161k in 2009. The 200k milestone (worth $2k) doesn’t seem far away anymore which I’m hoping to clear in the beginning of December.

I got in contact with a lot of other regs this month and teamed up for the 4man HUs quite often. Even more important than the profit itself were the dicussions and learning sessions with other regs this month. I never had the chance to learn that much than I did in the past. Thx to those who know I’m talking about them ;)
Additionally to that I could improve my game management a lot!

For October there is no goal for a profit at all. After my huge swings at 230s I need to go back to the 115s and keep on learning some basics of the endgame. It’s time to play some really solid 115s 1-table sessions.
The only goal is IMPROVEMENT!
