Hoax?!

14 03 2010

It seems so obv to be a hoax. No matter if true or not, the story of a 8-year-old boy who won $500,000 with Online Poker is just awesome. Read and enjoy it! My guess is that the boy is the real “isildur1″.

I played some more games last night, not that much though, cuz I was playing pretty bad. Still way better than fishes, but not my best.
Well, I’m up 23k now and don’t wanna complain. But I just need to play beeetter to be really satisfied with myself! 8)

At the moment this blog has more than 100 visitors each day since a while. Wtf?! Get a life guys!
Thx for all who follow my blog, it really helps me a lot to stay focussed in each session!

Gl to all of u and don’t forget to register in time for the Mini FTOPs HU MTT event with $200,000 garanteed prizepool at FullTilt Poker! Please leave a message if you are interested in getting staked,  it’s a great chance to prove your HU abilities and I’d like to help some regulars who play smaller HUs normally.

Sickest Session ever!

13 03 2010

Today, I started my session pretty soft at 230s. I ran ok and was looking all the time for some games at higher stakes until I finally found a guy sitting at 1k waiting for action. I had a note for him, so it was an easy insta-sit.
See what happened afterwards – these are his results, not mine ;)

We started at 1k where he played very odd and weak. I could win 3 in a row until he sat at 2k. When I was playing him he already asked me to play 5k afterwards. He bluffed almost all his chips away on a 4card-flushboard vs my Q-high Flush, so the 2k game didn’t take long. He jumped in the 5k game where I insta-sit again. I only could ask one guy in time to buy some action, so I sold only $1,500 of the $5,600 and could easily crush my opponent once again. These were definitely the most easy $11,000 I could ever imagine to win within 30 minutes playing Heads-Up Sit n Go’s ($9,500 net for me).
Afterwards he jumped in a CashGame 100/200 NL Hold’Em where his QQ got paid off on 998-flop by AJ in a very sick $29,000 pot. I’m very glad he was finally even for his 1-hour-session, so hopefully he will be back at HU SNGs one day. ;)

Afterwards I could make some more k’s playing lower HUs and played the $109 1R/1A MTT once again. In the end I finished as FinalTable-Bubble after SB shoved 96 vs my A9 and hit 2 pair on the flop. Reaching the FinalTable with prize money from $1,000 for 9th to $12,000 for the 1st would be veery sick, but of course I still won’t complain about today’s profit… I’m up $23,000 for March now…

Berlin review

10 03 2010

After some very nice and interesting days in Berlin it’s time for a short review of my great time there.

The EPT was pretty cool. I really enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Even though I can’t remember I ever attend any event that big which was so unorganized. Every event organized by students I have been to was way better organized than the EPT Berlin!
Here’s the best article I read so far about the EPT (written in German): “Die Chaostage von Berlin”.

PlauZee & mtvdeuem

PlauZee & mtvdeuem

I had a lot of fun with the guys I met, especially with mtvdeuem, Olli and – of course: Vic Coren ;)

Hopefully I’ll have the chance to meet you and some other HU SNG regs very soon. I will definitely play some Sats for next EPTs very soon!
I haven’t played a lot of poker recently, when I stayed at my girl’s home and had a cold for some days. I was some k’s down (I ran as I felt), but could grind them back, and now I’m back to $12,500 profit for March so far.

I became 3rd in the $22 HU MTT recently worth $450 or something. Not that much, but still pretty nice to finally make it into top4.

The Mini-FTOPs at FullTilt Poker starts today, so let’s see which date is most important of all Mini-FTOPs….

#9 14.Mär 15:00 ET Michael Craig $50 + $5 NL Hold’em Heads Up $200.000

$200,000 garanteed prizemoney sounds like a lot of fun to me. Please tell me if any of u gonna play it as well. I will def be there! :D

Hit ‘n Run – EPT Berlin got robbed!

6 03 2010

No, I haven’t been there when six armed guys robbed the EPT Counter today. But I’m still shocked how easy it is to rob so much money in Cash – they took little more than 200,000 Euro with them.
The EPT organisators didn’t have ANY security in front of the hotel or something. I never had any problems to walk through the hotel with my backpack, even though I didn’t even had a room in the hotel. There were only some unarmed security guys in front of the Counter for more than 1,000,000 Euro in Cash. So sick!
Today the Highroller 10,000 Euro took place – well, at least it was planned to take place today. Both Sideevents are cancelled and they will just continue 2blindlevels in the MainEvent today.

News from Berlin

5 03 2010

Last evenings I have been to the Hyatt Hotel and the Casino next to it again to meet some more guys I only knew via Internet so far. It was a lot of fun, even though I couldn’t get any ticket for the 300 Euro turbo MTT (Multi-Table-Tournament) I planned to play on Tuesday. They only had 75 Tickets to sell for more than 250 people. Well done, orga-team!

I met Matej (“mtvdeuem“) again and played some HUs online. It was fun to talk and laugh about different HU SNG players, fishes and of course regs as well… ;)

Last night I played another pretty juicy session of HU SNGs and MTTs. I ran pretty well in both and became 2nd in the $77 turbo 6max MTT for $3,500. I lost the HU with a flip – shame on me!
I played a couple of 570s and 1k’s vs fishes as well and increased my profit for March to a pretty sick number of $13,500 so far! I’ll reach the 200k VPP-milestone very soon what will add another $2,600 as free bonus.

I enjoy the atmosphere at the EPT a lot and will probably try to get a ticket for one of next events. I’m on my way to complete the “Supernova Elite” status this year. No idea if I really can make it, but it would be pretty, pretty sick! Adding another ~20% of rakeback and two sweet Main-Event-Packages for free. I’d love to go to PCA on Bahamas next January. Let’s see how things will go – the next downswing will come, sooner or later. Always smart to stay calm and not to see last day’s profit as standard.

Gl guys,
Chris

EPT Berlin

3 03 2010

Yo guys!
Yesterday evening I visited the EPT to meet some other guys and to play some carrrds. I was hoping to get a chance watching Dennis playing his first day of the Main Event, but visitors aren’t allowed for the EPT. I don’t know why, it just sux!

Instead of railing the guys I went to the Casino just next to the Hyatt Hotel where the EPT takes place, met Olli (“Got youread” – the one I was splitting the turbo HU MTT) and had some drinks with him and “mtvdeuem“. It was pretty cool to finally meet one of those guys who play the same games as I do. We met Vic Coren and spoke some words with her afterwards. Mtv is some buyins up vs her as well, so it was a lot of fun just to tell her who we are. We tried to play some CashGame as well, but the Casino was just too crowded all the time with sickos playing NL Hold’Em and Omaha with blinds from 2/5 to 20/40 Euro and a waiting list with more than 80 people most of the time.

I didn’t play any card yesterday, but gonna play the 300 Euro buyin turbo MTT tonight, starting at 9pm. Instead of playing live yesterday I had a pretty sweet session online later and could increase my winnings from $2,700 to over $5,000 for March so far. Another veeery sick start in the beginning of a month. Let’s see how big the swings will be this time. ;)

Crushing: +14k in February!

1 03 2010

I just finished my last session of February including a lot of MTTs where I got very unlucky most of the time and only could get ITM in one out of about ten. At least I made the right decisions and won about 1,5k playing HUs in the first hours.

Later I saw Joe Cada (winner of last WSOP) at 2k HU SNG waiting for some action. I knew about his veeery weak stats at HUs (-$180,000 in his last 500 games since his WSOP win!) so it didn’t need long until I jumped in. While playing him a lot of other regs asked me if there were any percentages to buy what shows that I’m not the only one who thinks its def +EV to play him. Here’s the sickest hand when Cada checked top-two behind and I just thought “wtf is this fish doin?!
I lost the first match (with AK vs A5 when he was already down to 550 chips) and decided to quit after losing 2nd one. In the end I won 3-2 vs him. We both caught a lot of bad beats, but I still had some decent edge, so 3-2 is pretty fair imo. Afterwards, a lot of other regs played him and he donated some more “stacks of high society” in 5,6k HUs as well.

Three other “Pro’s” sat me today, mostly at 345. I have played against most of them before already and I’m still wondering why most of them are such nits and just pretty weak at turbo HU SNGs. Maybe they just don’t care enough about the “peanuts” I’m used to play for.
I promised Vicky Coren that I would buy her a drink at the EPT Berlin if she lost the match vs me. Well, I guess I will get the chance to ask her about her nitty play next days.. ;)

Approx. stats for February:
MTTs: +$4,000
HU SNGs: +$11,581
EPT Satellites: -$2,000
Coaching: +$550
–> +$14,131 profit (including rakeback)
