Most of you guys reading this blog may only know me, PlauZee, from PokerStars – hopefully from some friendly chats – but have no idea about me personally. Others have no idea about my hobby, but do know me in person. This blog should give you some insights in my game and my person as well. But to be honest, the most important aspect writing this blog is my personal benefit from hand-discussions and game reflections to improve my play and the game management. Additionally to that I hope to get in contact with more HU SNG players with this blog and to get some feedback regularly.
I’m 27 years old, a student of mechanical engineering and management and not (even close) a poker pro. I started playing poker in the beginning of 2007, seriously. I busted several times, had great runs, huge losses and had to make my own experiences maybe every player has to make. It was a long and very hard way to improve my game management regarding bankroll management, game selection and tilt control. Nevertheless I’m pretty sure I finally found my game, in July 2009, I was looking for: The challenge to crush skilful games and to make some nice extra money every single month. The $115s turbo Heads-Ups (1 vs 1) seem to be exactly what I was looking for.
Update in September ’09: Needed harder challenge and moved up to $230 to $570 buyins.
Update in March ’10: I still play the $230 to $570 buyins, but today, you will find me at $1,130 and even higher almost regularly as well. 8)
Update in September ’10: I’m SupernovaElite on PokerStars now, pretty sick. Looking forward for some freeroll-LiveEvents in 2011.
Update in September ’11: After a break of about two months blogging, it’s back online again. No chance to make SNE this year, but still can’t complain about this years winnings so far. Playing $230-$570 is still where I belong to, beside bum-huntin up to $5ks of course. ![]()
For me the most important aspect playing poker is the challenge. Certainly, I love to make money crushing the games, but for me it’s not that important as it might seem. There’s no way to be successful at this game without loving it with all ups and downs.
I’ve read some Poker Magazines and finally decided to subscribe to the monthly “Europe Bluff Magazine”. The articles are really worth it and excactly what I was looking for. I prefer to talk and chat about poker and different hands. I’ve tried some Poker Forums, but couldn’t find any without too much trash- or donk-talk, so it’s best to try to contact me via skype or msn.
So long, best regards from Brunswick, Germany,
Chris / PlauZee
